New Job Skills for a New Year
If you’re making a fresh start this year, are job skills on your list? Maybe this is something to think about for 2018.
Employers look for specific skills when hiring and see critical thinking skills as a necessity, according to an article in eCampus News by Frank Connolly. Workers need to prepare for future jobs by demonstrating critical thinking, communication, emotional intelligence, and innovation.
“While we don’t know exactly what the workplace of the future will look like, we can be sure that the students who will lead us there are those who think critically and creatively, communicate clearly, and continually question the status quo,” Connolly says.
How can you gain these important skills?
UNCG has several online programs that teach them. Finish your degree with the interdisciplinary and customizable Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, which teaches in-demand skills through humanities, professional studies, or social sciences pathways.
