
Are you unsure whether going to college is worth the financial burden? Recent research by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York indicates a clear economic advantage for those who earn bachelor’s degrees over those with only a high school diploma.
Even with rising tuition costs and student debt, the return on investment for a college education is high enough to outweigh the cost of tuition, making going to college a smart choice in the long run, according to Inside Higher Ed.
While college costs reduce cash flow during enrollment, those with a bachelor’s degree are likely to see an increase over their entire career, according to the report. For example, during the past few years, the average worker with only a bachelor’s degree earned $78,000, while a worker with only a high school diploma earned $45,000.
