Kisha Carmichael-Motley Appointed to UPCEA Diversity and Inclusive Excellence Committee

Photo of Kisha Carmichael-MotleyKisha Carmichael-Motley has been appointed to the University Professional and Continuing Education Association’s (UPCEA) Diversity and Inclusive Excellence Committee for a one-year term. Comprised of leaders in professional, continuing, and online education, UPCEA is committed to providing access to higher education and its resulting opportunities, while eliminating inequity and barriers to success.

UNC Greensboro is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive community for all students, implementing an action plan to create a safe environment that ensures equity in education and employment.

Kisha is an Instructional Technology Consultant for UNCG Online where she develops online courses, coordinates professional development for staff and students, and helps create departmental websites. She has a history degree from UNCG. She completed Project Management certification through UC Irvine, the Instructional Designer Certificate program through the Online Learning Consortium, and the Gallup Strengths Coach Certification. She is currently pursuing the Quality Matters Improving Your Online Course Facilitator Certification.

Kisha has been a member of UNCG’s Staff Senate since 2017 and is a member of the UNCG Teaching Excellence Committee. She has also served on the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Equity, Diversity and Inclusive Excellence, and on the UNCG Title IX Task Force. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Greensboro
